V&A Rosa Rug Pink

French artist Edouard Benedictus (1879–1930) created beautiful albums of textile and wallpaper designs in the Art Deco style, using a simple and vibrant colour replication process called Pochoir. This rug is inspired by a detail of a plate from his 1924 portfolio, Variations, housed in the V&A’s National Art Library. Benedictus’ original illustration has been captured in a vivid palette of bold colours, and its magnified scale gives the classic floral theme a very modern twist. Rosa has been hand-crafted in India, and its rich pure wool pile will bring colour and impact to every room. Don’t forget to buy our anti-slip mat here, available in a choice of sizes.
